As much as I love photographing everything that’s alive and kicking in my garden, there’s something wonderful about plant material when it dies and decays. These hydrangea heads have become almost skeletal so you can appreciate the anatomy of the plant. Nature is blinking brilliant!
Right time, right place ...
Sometimes photographs are meticulously planned, sometimes they are spontaneous and other times it can just be a case of being in the right place at the right time.
This is what happened to me last Saturday on a Photographic MeetUp at the Victoria & Albert Museum in South Kensington. Outside of the museum while I was busily capturing the wonderful afternoon shadows I spotted a stunningly beautiful girl wearing an equally striking coat. We chatted that the setting was amazing with its contemporary design and she asked me if I would mind taking a photo of her on her iphone.
Yes I said if you don't mind me taking a photo of you. She willingly obliged and, in the space of a few minutes I was able to capture this great portrait of the person I can only refer to as "The lady in the amazing coat".
